Honoring Those Who Serve Boeing 737-800 Livery

The second Honoring Those Who Serve aircraft in our fleet, this 737-800 (tail number #N570AS) is also dedicated to the men and women of the US military. Its unique exterior paint scheme, conceived by a small group of Alaska maintenance technicians, was designed to honor those who serve today, and those who served in the past.

The design, which is almost identical to the first jet, includes a red stripe and blue aircraft body to incorporate elements of the American flag; the phrase "Honoring Those Who Serve," displayed on the fuselage; symbolic crests representing the Alaska Airlines Fallen Soldier Program to the right of the rear cargo door and on the left side of the aircraft behind the aft service door; and an "Alaska Airlines Salutes" medallion near the nose of the aircraft, with the five stars (along with the five stripes on the engine cowls) representing the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces: Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.

A new quote appears the side, next to the forward entry door and the aft cargo door: “To those in uniform serving today and to those who have served in the past, we honor you today and every day.”
