Honoring Those Who Serve Boeing 737-8 MAX Livery
Our fourth aircraft in our Honoring Those Who Serve fleet is a 737-8 MAX (tail number #N806AK), dedicated to the brave service members of the US military and their families. Its unique exterior paint scheme, conceived by a small group of Alaska maintenance technicians, was designed to honor those who serve today, and those who served in the past.
The design, which is almost identical three of our other jets, includes a red stripe and blue aircraft body to incorporate elements of the American flag; the phrase "Honoring Those Who Serve," displayed on the fuselage; symbolic crests representing the Alaska Airlines Fallen Soldier Program to the right of the rear cargo door and on the left side of the aircraft behind the aft service door; and an "Alaska Airlines Salutes" medallion near the nose of the aircraft, with the six stars (along with the six stripes on the engine cowls) representing the six branches of the U.S. Armed Forces: Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force.
A quote appears the side, next to the forward entry door and the aft cargo door: “To those in uniform serving today and to those who have served in the past, we honor you today and every day.”
