We’re always evolving to bring you a faster, more efficient travel experience—starting before you get on board. That’s why you may notice things look a little different the next time you’re in an Alaska Airlines lobby. Our brand new Bag Tag stations provide a digital self—service experience that will make it even easier for you to have a seamless trip.

Here’s what to expect from our streamlined lobby.

Check in on the app, tag your bags, and go.

Our lobby kiosks no longer print boarding passes. To access your boarding pass, you'll need to check in through the Alaska Airlines mobile app. Unable to access your boarding pass before you arrive? See an agent to get a printed version. To check bags before you fly, use our new digital self-service stations to print bag tags, add a bag, or pay for your checked baggage.

Prior to your flight

Check in and access your boarding pass on your phone by using the Alaska Airlines app.

You can also use the app (or alaskaair.com) to add traveler details, pre-pay for bags, upgrade or change seats and check your flight status.
When you arrive No bags to check? Proceed right to security with your digital boarding pass. If you’re unable to access your boarding pass prior to arrival, you can also speak with an agent to receive a printed version.

In the Alaska lobby, we’ve launched our new automated bag drop!

  1. Tag bag.

    Head to the self-service Bag Tag Station or Kiosk and use your boarding pass QR code to print your Tags and place them on your luggage.

  2. Drop bag. The automated bag drop scans your bag tag to retrieve your reservation. Then you scan your ID. Facial scan matches your face with the photo on your ID. Your bag is dispatched and you’re on your way.

Traveling internationally?

Eligible guests can now complete document verification digitally, saving time and skipping lines at the airport. Download the Alaska app to verify your documents in two minutes or less. Please remember to bring all required travel documents to the airport.

Who is eligible?
  • US passport holders
  • Canadian passport holders
  • Guests traveling without lap infants and minors
  • Guests traveling in parties no larger than 7 people
Not eligible?

Don't worry—an airport agent can assist you with document verification. Arrive early to allow for extra time at the airport.
