TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID Program

Fly through the airport even faster with new TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID, now available at select airports.


TSA Pre-Check Touchless ID uses facial recognition technology for faster, more efficient identity verification, allowing you to easily move through dedicated security lanes without the need to show an identity document.

TSA Pre-Check Touchless ID is now available to eligible Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members at the following airports.

  • Aeropuerto Internacional de Seattle-Tacoma (SEA)
  • Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
  • Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)

Additional locations will be coming soon, including Los Angeles (LAX) and Portland PDX.

To be eligible, you must have a Mileage Plan account, be a current TSA PreCheck traveler, and have a valid passport. Participation in TSA PreCheck Touchless ID is optional.


How to enroll:

  1. Ingrese a su Mileage Plan™ account. Make sure you have your current Known Traveler Number (KTN) and valid passport information in your profile.
  2. Select Add TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID, check “opt in” and save your selection. You will be enrolled for all future trips until you “opt out.” A screen capture of the Account travel documents page on the alaska airlines mobile app


How to use it:

  1. When departing from a participating airport, ensure that you see the TSA PreCheck Touchless ID indicator on the boarding pass. A screen capture showing the boarding pass screen
  2. Look for the signs to the TSA PreCheck® Touchless ID security checkpoint. TSA PreCheck Touchless ID logo graphic
  3. When you reach the security checkpoint, your face is all you need. Facial recognition will confirm your identity and boarding pass details.


Always remember to bring a physical identity document with you as a back-up.
